Apple's September event is only a week away now and we will finally have the official announcement for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. For the first time ever this iPhone announcement will see not one but two handsets being announced. So what are we expecting, let's take a look at what the rumors have told us so far.
The iPhone 5S is set to be the new top of the line iPhone and the iPhone 5C is going to be a low cost, budget iPhone. The iPhone 5S is going to have a faster processor with the A7 chip going into it. The home button is also going to feature a fingerprint sensor. This will mean that users are able to unlock their device without having to enter a PIN code. The iPhone 5S is also set to launch with a dual-LED flash that can be found on other highend smartphones as well as a 12 megapixel sensor with better low light performance. The iPhone 5S will largely resemble the iPhone 5 and the main exception is the possibility of a new champagne/gold color. The iPhone 5S is expected to have storage options all the way up to 128GB.
The iPhone 5C is the budget iPhone and we are assuming that the C stands for color. This iPhone will come in a plastic shell and it is suspected that the innards will be a mix of the iPhone 5 and 4S. This device will also come with an 8 megapixel camera. The iPhone 5C with its plastic shell will come in a range of colors that resemble an iPod with its bright and shiny chassis. The color options are white, yellow, blue/cyan, red and green. It is rumored that the price for the iPhone 5C will be between $300 and $400 for the unlocked version.
With less than a week to go, we can't wait to hear the official announcement and see how many of the rumors were in fact true.
