It has come to that time of year again when all talk and rumors are about the new iPhone that is about to be released. This year, however, things are a little different as we are about to see the release of two iPhones. One of these, the iPhone 5C, is a low cost or budget iPhone. Vietnamese website Tinhte, who are fairly accurate when it comes to legitimate leaks of Apple products, have gotten their hands on mockups of both the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S and have released images of both of these devices side by side.
We had a look at these images and we can see the comparisons between the two handsets. While both of these smartphones are designed by the Cupertino company, they are built to serve very different purposes and the materials used and general build quality appear to differ greatly. By adding the iPhone 5 to this comparison, we can see the clear similarities between what are likely to be Apple's three main devices later on this year. The headphone jack is situated along the bottom, while each also includes the new lightning dock connector in the center flanked by different speaker holes.
In terms of design, the iPhone 5S is expected to be similar to the current iPhone 5 and these images seem to confirm this. We are expecting a few hardware tweaks including a faster new processor and perhaps a 12 megapixel camera. The iPhone 5C thanks to its polycarbonate finish does look decidedly cheaper than the two higher end models, but that is not to say it doesn't still offer a stylish package. It still looks very cool and should be a big hit with budget conscious consumers.
With iOS 7 now at beta 5, it won't be long before we see these devices at their official launch. Stay tuned to our blog and we will keep you updated as more information arrives.
