
Today we have the release of iOS 7 beta 6 available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Like all beta versions, this is a developer only release and in order to test it out you much have an Apple developers account.
The first beta release of iOS 7 met with a lot of criticism because it didn't support the iPad but subsequent released have been much better. This latest iOS 7 beta 6 release shows that Apple have continued to strive to get the firmware ready for release and it includes the usual array of bug fixes and general performance enhancements. There have been a few very minor tweaks to the interface too.
We can see that iOS 7, aside from the alterations to the UI elements, is going to bring plenty of enhanced functionality also. There have been improvements to core apps like Maps and Safari and it looks like Apple have paid attention to some of the complaints of long time jailbreakers too by finally relaing the limitations beset on the folders that first arrived with iOS 4. The Control Center also brings SBSettings-like toggles which is great to see.
If you are signed up to the Developer Program, you can grab iOS 7 beta 6 using the usual mediums. If you have any devices running previous versions of iOS 7 beta you must: Install iOS 7 beta 6 and then install the ResetMusicAndVideosLibraries configuration profile. From Settings > Music, tap the Reset Media Library button and then restart your device.
