Apple will be holding a special event on the 10th of September this years and it is expected that they will release the iPhone 5S can 5C as well as some other exciting products. The nature of this event is likely to focus on iOS devices and it is almost guaranteed that we will see the official release of iOS 7 too.
We have now gone through 6 beta iterations of iOS 7 and it is now safe enough to pass a bit of judgement on it. IOS 7 is a software that is not aimed at people who are upgrading, it is aimed at people who are adopting. Apple is trying to ensure their next generation of consumers by creating a more modern, fresh and fun to use operating system. It is clear that that most of the changes incorporated into iOS 7 are there for the long term and it really is good to see Apple planning ahead. Things such as Control Center makes this iOS more pleasurable to use.
The user interface has also seen some changes. The design has been changed and again this is focused on new customers. Other interface changes such as replacing skeuomorphics with Gaussian blurs and gradients seem to work well and we like this. All of us here are fans of the new iOS 7 and we believe that the changes work for the best. Certain very useful changes such as the Control Center integration and AirDrop functionality are great and we can't wait to see how the public reacts to the changes when iOS 7 is officially released next month.
