Apple has released iOS 8 Beta 3 and as always, we have taken a look at the latest beta to see what�s new and what little gems we can find. Below is a list of the new features that we have come across and some brief information on each.
App Analytics
In iOS 8 Beta 3, users now have the option of sharing app analytics data to the developer of the app. This should allow developers to improve their apps and make changes that enhance the overall experience for the end user.
Tweaked �Clear� Button In Notification Center
The �Clear� button in the Notification Center, which lets you dismiss notifications for a particular app, has been given a nice touch up. It no longer looks out of place and you may not even notice the slight tweak, but it is there. Apart from this, you can now dismiss individual notifications with the new �X� button.
Enable/Disable Handoff Feature
Users can now turn off the much documented Handoff feature. We don�t know why you would want to do this, but we are assuming that people do to conserve battery life. Anyway now you can disable it if you want to.
New iCloud Drive Upgrade Popup
At WWDC iCloud Drive was announced. This is a great way to expand your device�s storage capabilities into the cloud. Once you install iOS 8, you will be welcomed with a popup that asks you if you want to make the jump to iCloud Drive. You can of course continue to use the tried and tested iCloud Documents and Data feature.
Automatically Keep Photos & Videos In Messages
There is a new Automatically Keep feature in the Messages settings that allows you to automatically store sent and received photos and videos. This is a handy feature if you don�t want to miss out on incoming media from your contacts.
New Wallpapers
The newly released iOS 8 Beta 3 comes with new wallpapers for both the iPhone and the iPad. We are hoping that these will get even better when iOS 8 goes live later this year.
Enable/Disable QuickType Keyboard
If you don�t like Apple�s new QuickType Keyboard, you can now turn off the suggestions using a simple toggle in Settings > General > Keyboards.
Time Duration for Recently Deleted Photos
With iOS 8, when you delete your photos, they are put into a Recently Deleted folder in the Photos app. A new prompt that is available in this folder shows the time remaining before your photos are deleted forever.
Minor UI Changes in Weather App
This is the last change we have spotted in iOS 8 Beta 3. The Weather app has been given a slight cosmetic change in the way it displays the weather information. The data is now center aligned as opposed to how it was. It is a small change but we think it looks really great.
